*Sparr's Florist and Greenhouses has been family owned and operated for over 53 years. Louis Sparr started the business in 1952 as a wholesale greenhouse, specializing in bedding plants, potted plants and cut flowers. With the help of his son, Dennis, the Sparr's established a regular wholesale route, selling high quality plants and cut flowers to florists in the Detroit area. At the same time, they provided the same high quality product to the public at the Ann Arbor and Eastern markets.*Today, Sparr's Greenhouses still offers an extensive selection of hanging baskets, annuals and perennial bedding plants. You will also find indoor tropical plants, and potted plants, including poinsettias, mums, azaleas, Easter lilies, hydrangeas and forced spring bulbs. We recently added a nice selection of evergreens and shrubs. We still grow a lot of our own cut flowers that are used in our flower shop. You will find roses, snapdragons, iris, lilies, stock, mums and countless others , depending on the season. *Please visit us at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Or stop by and meet Sally Sparr on Thursdays at the Northville Farmers Market throughout the season. And don't forget Flower Day at the Eastern Market in Detroit!
